Tosa Village

The new owners of this 1905 Queen Anne Victorian in Wauwatosa had a lot to work with — two natural fireplaces, beautiful quarter-sawn woodwork and cabinetry, and a walk-up attic ready to be refinished. When they requested a top-to-bottom renovation, our task was to strike a balance between preservation and modernization, preserving the home’s timeless beauty while adapting it for more functional everyday living.

The Story Hill Renovations team transformed the attic from a storage space to a finished living area, refinishing the floors and adding a second staircase for improved egress. The basement was refreshed by repairing and refinishing concrete floors and painting the walls and ceilings.

Throughout the house, authentic vintage lighting fixtures were added to honor its historic charm. Repairs to original windows and many other thoughtful upgrades seamlessly blend modern functionality with classic craftsmanship.
