Mitchell Park Bungalow

This 1928 bungalow kitchen was lacking functionality and adequate storage for this growing family. We completely revamped the space to provide ample storage and much-needed organization, all while maintaining the character of the home.

We got creative and utilized an existing built-in cabinet to provide a space for the double ovens and repurposed the original ironing board storage as a more usable spice cabinet. For the floor, we removed multiple layers of paint and repaired and refinished the beautiful and original maple flooring.

The kitchen itself features warm, hickory cabinets that are paired with a rustic tile that’s full of interesting variations and hues. Granite countertops that incorporate various tones throughout the space help to tie everything together. A custom island, complete with a matching granite top, provides additional work space as well as a place to sit.

This bungalow kitchen has been completely reconfigured to provide modern-day functionality and storage, all while still maintaining its original charm.
