John Butcher House

The forever home. This young couple’s first home needed to be brought into the 21st century and updated to meet their needs as newlyweds looking to start a family in the next few years. The entire home was gutted on the interior and started from scratch, creating new entertaining spaces, guest rooms and home offices, a primary suite and the best laundry room a dog could ask for.

The main space features a landing zone at the front door, complete with a hidden mail slot. The entry flows into the living room and entertaining kitchen. The kitchen features custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, subtle textured backsplash tile and custom lighting. The cabinetry has all the modern conveniences, including a bar area that can be hidden when not in use.

The primary suite includes a walk-in closet with his and her spaces, an airy bedroom and a luxurious bathroom with a makeup area and walk-in shower. This home would not be complete without a mudroom/laundry/dog washing station. From the powder room with rich dark blue wave wallpaper to the mudroom room with gray and faux wood tile, this area of the home gets the most use especially when the dog needs a bath.
