By reconfiguring a small bathroom and a sitting room, we created a powder room for guests and a luxurious primary bathroom for the owners of this 1935 Tudor — adding functionality and updating the look while staying true to the home’s character.
A sitting room off the first-floor bedroom was turned into a primary bath with aging-in-place features as well as indulgent luxuries. The walk-in shower features a bench seat, body spray and rainhead fixtures, and wrap-around porcelain tile that mimics marble. A towel warmer, freestanding tub, walk-in closet and double vanity deliver conveniences the couple was looking for. Custom-built oak cabinetry was stained to match the home’s original woodwork.
