Brehon House

Not every house needs to be reconfigured to be remodeled. Sometimes, the space planning done 30 years ago is perfect but it’s time to update the finishes. That’s exactly what our clients wanted to do at their Brehon House. The homeowners designed their passive solar home 30 years ago and thought of everything. They approached us to update the kitchen, primary bathroom and give them a peaceful vernacular design that blended well with the wooded landscape.

The primary bathroom is a playful balance of textures. The freestanding tub is centered under the window overlooking the landscape and is also connected to the zero-threshold shower with river rock tile on the floor. The bathroom also saw accents of brass including brass inlay in the shower tile creating a modern elegance to a serene space.
